This Month end, the donations for this project were processed and we were able to pay to secure the plot of land for this vulnerable mama and her 2 boys!
I took the Mama to see the available plot, it has a small (cobbled together) metal room on site but it will need to be replaced as it is not 'sound'.
We are so thrilled to know that they will now be able to work to put down some proper roots and begin to focus on making their family stronger.
Having a piece of land in her name, means she no longer has to worry about finding a place to sleep night after night. It means every morning she can get her boys ready to attend our Children's Centre and know that they will be coming 'home' at the end of the day to the same place.
We thank each and every person whose heartfelt contributions have lifted this burden!
We are now in a position to start gathering funds for Phase 2.
We would like to put in a water tap, a toilet and most importantly put up a more suitable structure for this little family.
