Project Report | May 1, 2025
The benefits of the project are research-based

By Francisco Alcala | Executive Director

I would like to ask yourself a question. How the world would look like 5 years from now if a massive group of 1 million trained volunteers starts reading books to children for fun in their community? It is been proven by research that the Executive Functions, which in turn play a critical role in the development of academic skills, school readiness and future educational achievement were improved among children who attended read-aloud sessions for 6 months.

The research has also proven that reading emotional storybooks causes an increase in emphatic concern for others as well as significant increase in generosity among children.

If we consider groups of 10 kids being read by one trained volunteer. Imagine the positive implications for our world!!

You can be part of this journey.

Call to Action:

Join us in building a world where every neighborhood has a library, every child has access to books, and every community has a changemaker.

Together let’s inspire individual to become changemakers, like Asmaa.
