Despite the lack of special medical instruments, Ukrainian trauma surgeons continue to conduct surgeries to save limbs, as Russian aggression against Ukraine is already in its third year. The quantity of trauma patients continues to grow, while Russia indiscriminately bombs civilian residences in cities and villages across Ukraine. This makes availability of professional surgical power tools in Ukrainian trauma hospitals so important. Since the beginning of this year, our orthopedic trauma surgeons have conducted 1,500 surgeries to save limbs. Unfortunately, there are more than 3,000 patients in desperate need of surgery. While we are raising funds to purchase quality surgical equipment needed to save limbs, we secured funds to purchase surgery supplies and materials and, consequently, helped 41 soldiers and civilians injured by landmine explosions avoid amputation.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our donors, who support our work and help Ukrainian people survive terrible outcomes of this violent war.
