In the past 3 months, MSD has exchanged with stakeholders to select appropriate partners, including goverment agencies, local NGO... The selected partners for supporting personal legal documents for street children is the Legal Assistant Agency in Ho Chi Minh City, which has the function, capacity and long-term commitment to support the project.
Due to the large number of children who currently do not have their own personal legal documents in Ho Chi Minh City, MSD and partners have developed criterias and support procedures that help to speed up and save resources. At the beginning, the process of supporting personal papers includes stages of information gathering, selection, legal verification ..., which usually lasting about 3 months to 6 months. We decided to choose the children with very difficult circumstances, in the school age, and shortened the time to complete the procedures to ensure that children have enough identification to be able to go to school in the new school year (starting in September 2017).
Personal information and the list of children is confidential, in order to meet the legal requirements and international commitments on children's rights, the MSD only provides the lists and specific information in the framework of permission. For a list of supported children, we will be happy to provide our donors, with request and name confirmed via email.
MSD hope to be able to help more street children in Ho Chi Minh city, especially the children in school age, who want to go to shool but have not enough personal documents.
Thank you so much for support those children!
A donation makes a bright future!
