Computing is very popular and gives boys a way to gain a valuable skill. Computing graduates are all able to find work after graduating as this a marketable skill needed throughout society. In February, there were 57 students (23 male) in computing classes in Herat centers and 257 students ( 168 male) in centers in Kabul.

My name is Faruq. I am one of the students of a computer class of Shakardara learning center. I am from a poor family, my father was a government employee but lost his job. My mother is a housewife and I have three small sisters. One day one of my friends said something about Shakardara Learning Center, I went there and enrolled myself in a computer class. After six months, I learned several computer programs and I managed to get a job in a school.  I am so happy that I can earn money and help my family using my new skill.  It has made a huge difference to our family’s economic situation.”

Gaining computing skills changes lives and families bringing in vital income to support extended family groups.

Thank you for your support.
