Dear friend,
We are very happy to share with you the workshops we are doing with Pre-K children, growing their own food. Starting from soil, preparing a good substrate with their own hands, planting the seeds or seedlings and watching them grow over the next couple of months so they can harvest their own food and eat it.
This whole process is guided by Anita, our team's agronomist, who through play and songs teaches the children all the important parts of taking care of the plants, gives them the role of guardians of the plants and creates a sense of responsibility and belonging for the kids.
We have done 3 workshops so far and have another 9 workshops programmed for the next couple of months.
This has been very positive for the community showing a direct impact in their mental health and social abilities. We are looking forward to the next 9 workshops and hope to be able to keep this project through the whole year, reaching more neighborhoods.
We share with you some photos of the workshops.
Thank you so much for your support, it’s because of it that we can keep doing the work,
Kind Regards,
