Artolution Program Report – Bangladesh (Rohingya Refugee Response)
Over the past three months, the Artolution program in Bangladesh has positively impacted 240 Rohingya children and youth through our innovative arts-based initiatives. These programs have taken place in refugee camps and are designed to support the mental health, wellbeing, and social cohesion of vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma and displacement.
Our activities include collaborative mural-making, sculpture, drawing, painting, and group discussions. Each element of the program is thoughtfully designed to foster creative expression, healing, and connection among participants, offering them a safe and supportive space to process their experiences and build community.
Crucially, all programming is led by trained Rohingya artists from within the community, who continue to receive ongoing professional development. These facilitators have been deepening their knowledge of best practices in community arts engagement with youth, and their leadership is central to the success and sustainability of our work.
To strengthen our program’s impact and operations, we are also expanding our team by hiring new staff to support organizational functions and enhance our collaboration with local partner agencies. This will help ensure continued growth and deeper integration with community networks in the camps.
Artolution remains committed to supporting Rohingya youth through the transformative power of art, building resilience, self-expression, and hope for a more connected and empowered future.
