Our folks at the workshop in Santa Bárbara have been quite busy since our last report to you, four months ago! From new production, to visits, to celebrations, and even participating in election day, this spring was quite eventful!!
Within the carpentry area, a new product was developed, elegant cutting boards were made and marketed with great success. New techniques in painting have been adopted by some of the artists, and the bakery, under the lead of a new staff member, developed new products too.
May was as usual a celebration month, highlighted by Mother’s Day then Teachers’ Day, with a special brunch and expressions of gratitude to mothers or maternal figures, as well as teachers and staff members.
Aeronautics is a blooming industry in Querétaro and we were recently invited to visit two companies and offer the products from our workshop at their installations. The employees in both places enjoyed showing their facilities to our members and got to appreciate the gifts and efforts behind the products that were presented to them, resulting in good sales for us!
Of course, better quality and more activities have a cost, and like many organizations in México, El Arca is being challenged financially under the present economic and political environment.
