A Kenyan athlete has recently broken his world record and set a new one. He says to all those who believe that the possibilities are endless. At step Up 4 Autism, we live by these words and continue to cherish them in our day-to-day activities.
Even when we know that organized sports can sometimes be challenging for kids and adults with autism, we still encourage them to bring out their best and to inspire the rest of the community members where they come from. Through this mantra we have been able to annually hold the autism awareness 5km run to create autism awareness, raising funds for kids to get free occupational and speech therapy, working towards bringing the autism stakeholders together, and enhancing inclusion by involving kids and adults with autism in professional sports.
Our pledge to you even as we go ahead to start planning for the 2023 autism awareness 5km run is that we might become close and collaborative and join hands to make the community a better place for kids with autism in Kenya's rural areas. We must work harder to build a solid culture of acceptance and willing full inclusion.
Would you be so kind as to donate more towards this cause and make us your charity of choice?
Kind regards,
Ruth Tenai,
President
