Dear Friend ,
I hope this message finds you well. We're pleased to share our progress report for the Autism Awareness 5km Run project over the past two months.
Since the last report, our team has been actively preparing and promoting the upcoming run scheduled for April 2024. Here are the highlights:
1. Promotional Campaign: We initiated a comprehensive promotional campaign through social media, community outreach, and partnerships with local businesses. Our goal was to generate awareness and encourage participation among the community.
2. Participant Registrations: We've observed a steady increase in participant registrations, indicating a growing interest and support for the event. The engagement from various demographics has been encouraging, showcasing the inclusivity of our initiative.
3. Volunteer Recruitment: Our efforts in recruiting and organizing volunteers for the event have been successful. Volunteers have enthusiastically stepped up to support various tasks, ensuring a seamless event execution.
4. Fundraising Progress: Through the 5km run, we've made significant strides in fundraising. The funds collected thus far will directly contribute to our ongoing programs supporting individuals with autism in the Mathare community, including therapy services and caregiver training.
5. Event Logistics: We've made substantial progress in organizing the logistics for the run, securing the venue, acquiring necessary permits, and collaborating with local authorities to ensure a safe and well-organized event.
We are grateful for the support received from donors, volunteers, and the community, all of whom have played a pivotal role in the success of this initiative. As we approach the event date, we are excited about the prospects and anticipate a fulfilling and impactful Autism Awareness 5km Run.
We look forward to sharing the outcomes of the event in our next report. Thank you for your continued support and belief in our cause.
Best regards,
Ruth Tenai,
President
