Improve Basic Education for 500 Zambian Children

Right now Licia, our project leader, is in Zambia. After a period when it was impossible for her to travel and meet our partners, we are now happy to share some moments together.

It has been two years since a member of the GuardAvanti team last visited the school. We are very pleased to see the school in very good conditions. It is evident how the community is committed to enhance the education of children and how the school is felt as a priority.

The number of students is constantly growing, and the need for space is the top priority. Two years ago, in 2022, the student population had increased to 600. Today, at Katulumba school, there are 780 children, but only 4 classrooms available.

It's time to get to work and figure out how we can move towards our goal with the funds raised so far. By working together with the school, our local partner, and the Ministry of Education we decided to proceed with the building of 2 additional classrooms.

Our goal is to maximize the impact of the donations received so far and move forward with the project, even though the budget for the comprehensive project won’t be fully reached. Thanks to your generous donations, we can begin construction immediately using the funds available.
