We are still busy building new enclosures!

A lot has happened since the last time we updated you! We've had a few unexpected additions to our animal family and therefor more enclosures to build.

First of, we rescued two genet babies a couple of months ago. Now that they are fully grown, they are ready to leave the babyroom and move into a camp like real adults! Currently, we are busy finishing up the camp and hopefully they will move into their new home soon.

Secondly, we welcomed two hyena pups to the project. They were born at a different facility and had to be taken from their mother after an accident that left one of the pups with a shattered leg. After the amputation of the broken leg, it quickly became clear that she would be of no value to the breeding project. One of our sponsors then decided to donate the pups to us, to make sure they would be looked after and have a forever home, since there obviously is no option to release.

In the meantime, we are still extremely busy in our volunteer village as well. Our staff is working hard to get all the units finished as soon as possible, while the kitchen and lounge are also still a work in progress. With prices having gone up massively after Covid, we had some unexpected costs when it comes to the construction of the kitchen and lounge.

And this all is only a very small part of what we are busy with at the moment! As you can see, things are still moving and funds are still needed. As a non-profit, we are always in need of a little support so once again, we would like to thank each and every one of you for donating a little bit of your hard earned money to our cause. We truly mean it when we say we couldn't do this witout you!
