Thanks to your generous support, we were able to fund blankets and books for Comfort Cases, enabling us to distribute 29,804 Comfort Cases nationwide in 2024.
Blankets: For children entering foster care, often with little more than the clothes on their backs, a blanket provides more than just warmth. It offers a sense of security, comfort, and ownership in a time of immense upheaval. It's a tangible symbol that someone cares and wants to make their transition a little easier.
Books: Books offer a crucial escape, a chance to explore new worlds, and a way to foster a love of learning. For children experiencing the trauma of foster care, books can be a powerful tool for emotional regulation, stress reduction, and cognitive development. They provide a sense of normalcy and a chance to simply enjoy a good story.
