With your support, Mercy Corps has been able to promote maternal health and breast feeding to women and communities in Indonesia since 2007. We implemented programs for mothers and their families that include both educational and emotional resources.
For example, our Healthy Start program has trained hundreds of local health officials and midwives on the importance of the practice of breast feeding, and brought thousands of women together to encourage and support each other.
Though we will continue our work with these mothers in Jakarta and rural areas of Indonesia, we will no longer be doing a project page on Global Giving. You can continue to track our progress and see what we have accomplished in Indonesia, as well as check out our other work around the world. Thank you so much for all that you've contributed to Mercy Corps' efforts to expand these programs and save lives.
To continue to donate to the mission of Mercy Corps on Global Giving, come visit our Turning Crisis Into Opportunity project.
Again, we truly appreciate your support to these mothers and their families!
With gratitude,
Carlene Deits
