We are moving along slow and steady with our work to create a computer lab for the Secondary students at Mwaji School. While our in country manager is busy getting pricing for all the supplies and materials we will need, we will also be working to raise funds to build a classroom for the lab.
And just like in the western world (first world) supplies are short. In fact, as hard as it may be to imagine, Tanzania, ran out of cement this year. All the buildings Orphans Africa builds are made of cement. These kinds of "snags", obviously slow things down.
But we push on. We are hopeful we will soon be able to raise the additional funds needed to build the classroom. This will create an amazing opportunity for the students as well as the villagers in the surrounding area, as we are hopeful to be able to offer courses in computers to those people as well. It will also attract even more students to the school!
We hope everyone is staying healthy! Tanzania has nor received many vaccines so the risks are still quite high for the country. Thankfully, the OA students have created hand washing stations and the government in general is promoting safe practices.
