Bring digital technology to 550 Colombian Farmers

Hi everyone,

On this occasion we want to share a few exciting news regarding our recent projects, the progress we’ve made as well as our plans for the immediate future.

First of all, we are preparing the second version of our camp “Soy Campo Soy Cambio”. As some of you may remember we held its first version last year and reached around 18 young leaders of 14 different rural areas in Colombia. This year, we are improving some aspects of the camp based on the feedback provided by the participants and the staff of Mas Por TIC.

That said, there are some important aspects that we think may be of your interest. We are inviting youngsters from PDET municipalities, which are communities that were heavily affected by the armed conflict. They will work along with peers from other rural regions with the aim of creating a teamwork environment that empowers different kinds of rural leaders.

We have also improved the mentorship structure and now six of our former participants will mentor the next generation of rural leaders. This is quite an exciting achievement for us especially because all six of them are female leaders that really enjoyed the first version of the camp.

Finally, we also launched the camp’s website (https://www.soycamposoycambio.com/) where you can find all the information related to the camp. There’s a GlobalGiving project soon to be launched that looks to promote and sponsor these rural leaders from PDET municipalities in Colombia, so please stay tuned to our social networks so you can support us to deliver such projects and make them a reality.
