Education for all children is critical, but for millions affected by humanitarian war in Syria, is very urgent. 0.5 million children are deprived of education in Northwest Syria. The educational sector suffers a lack of basic resources to carry out the educational process. Our project aims to secure access to safe, equitable and quality education within tented classrooms in Jarablus district- Zoghra camp by provision learning and teaching materials, rehabilitation, and recreational activities
More than 1500 families live in Zoghra camp, with 2000 children in need of educational. The camp lacks adequate &safe educational space with shortage of learning and teaching materials. The tented classrooms has no external insulation, no heating equipment or fuel during the harsh winter. The displaced families try to prepare education tents with number of volunteer teachers, but these efforts remain inadequate. The rates of children dropout, child labor and early marriage are increasing.
Based on the collected data, surveys and interviews in Zoghra camp, the project will head into: - External insulation rehabilitation around tents to ensure safer environment for 2000 students - Provision of learning materials (Bags-stationery- new desks) - Deliver the required teaching materials (A4 paper-whiteboard pens- teaching items- printer) for 53 teachers - Providing the missing stoves and heating fuel before coming winter
- Rehabilitation and furniture will ensure the sustainability of access to the classrooms even after the project end. - Package of delivered materials (teaching- learning) will ensure they will an asset so they can use it after the end of the project time. - Provision the heating materials during winter will ensure decreasing the dropout percentage
