Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to host a summer bible camp that centered around our horses and expand our Junior Volunteer Program to include more kids.
Rescue Ranch was held at Charis Youth Ranch from June 1-13. We had three sessions and served 57 kids from our community at no cost to the families. Each day the kids watched a video, listened to a story from the Bible about Jesus, created a craft, ate a yummy snack, played lots of games where there were MANY tiny "high fives", and had lots of horse time. The kids learned horsemanship skills such as grooming, leading, bathing AND they got to paint the horses - a kid favorite!
Because of the support of our donors, our horses are well-fed and cared for so the kids we serve can love them and be loved back!
