TWAS Project Update

The Wild Animal Sanctuary
The Wild Animal Sanctuary

152 is the number of animals TWAS rescued in 2021 alone. And each of these magnificent Lions, Tigers, Bears, Wolves or other animals requires a well-built Habitat to live the rest of their lives in. That’s where you come in.

Each habitat varies from 10-acre specialized habitats to massive habitats of 250-acres. Many miles of special fencing are required to protect and define each animals’ territory. We create underground dens that stay a cozy 60 degrees all year long for every animal. Wells for drinking and water features are needed, as is the power to operate them along with security cameras and other life safety monitoring systems. Significant amounts of manpower and material goes into the development of each space.

It’s fundamental that we have habitats built and ready for the animals BEFORE they are needed. This way we can always rise to the emergency calls we frequently and inevitably receive throughout the year.

Since 1980, we have always put the animal’s welfare first and work tirelessly to improve their lives. Countless days and hours are spent traveling the country and around the world to free them from the most horrific situations. They are brought back to the Sanctuary or Refuge where they will be cared for and respected for the rest of their days. It’s a truly immense mission that creates immense impact that cannot be achieved without equally immense support. Please become a part of helping us with our mission and the continued building of habitats. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of countless animals.
