In 2018, we held 4 camps in North, Central, South, and East of Taiwan, each camping for 3 days and 2 nights. A total of 210 students and 62 staff members participated in the camps.
We also sponsored 39 community service centers to conduct camp activities, with a total of 251 sponsored children participating in community camps.
In the camp, we designed challenge activities for children. Through the activities, the children can learn to courageously accept the challenges, to cooperate and encourage each other in the process, and to know how to support their teammates.
The challenge in the camp of North area is morning run. During the morning run, some children complained about the hot weather. One child has heart problem and cannot run fast. The staffs wanted to give him a ride for safety reasons, but he said that he could run it slowly.
Eventually, the child completed the challenge of the Green Bay morning run at the speed he could. Everyone was very moved and motivated.
