This year's summer camp for Agape Children's Home's children is a three-day journey designed by the children themselves. We hope everyone is able to build the abilities of teamwork and problem-solving, etc. through the discussion for the activity design.
On the first day, the tasks arranged by the children combined logical thinking, action, language, mathematical reasoning, endurance, and observation skills... so that everyone from the children to the teachers racked their brains to complete the tasks.
On the second day, we sat on the slowly starting train and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. On the train, we were relaxed and comfortable, talking and chatting with each other, so as to achieve the ability we want to cultivate in our children to express their opinions. In the afternoon, a bicycle trip was arranged, but due to temporary maintenance of the road section, it was impossible to complete the entire ride according to the original route, but it just fit the physical strength and skills of all the children.
On the third day - we went to an amusement park, younger children were playing happily in the park. The difference in age was not noticed by the children's activity design team at the beginning, but after adjustment, the journey can be more suitable to the needs of different ages.
The older children who were in charge of the activity design had a great sense of accomplishment and realized that being a planner is actually not easy. The children are very happy to have this learning opportunity and hope to have similar opportunities next time.
