Cancer survivorship begins with early detection and timely treatment. When cancer is detected early, patients have a better chance of improved health outcomes. Unfortunately, many cancer patients in Nigeria face barriers to early diagnosis and quality care due to financial constraints and lack of awareness.
Many individuals face significant barriers to cancer care due to a lack of awareness, high treatment costs, and fragmented patient navigation. Without knowledge of early warning signs and preventive measures, many people are diagnosed at later stages when treatment is less effective. Even when diagnosed, the overwhelming financial burden prevents access to life-saving treatments, forcing some patients to delay or abandon care altogether.
This project will bridge the gap in cancer care by providing free screenings, awareness programs, subsidized treatment, patient navigation services, and the procurement of essential medical equipment to expand our care services. Through targeted community outreach and education, we will equip individuals with the knowledge to recognize early warning signs and seek medical attention promptly. By offering financial support, we will reduce the burden of costly diagnostics and treatments.
This project will have a lasting impact by significantly reducing cancer mortality rates, increasing awareness, and improving early detection. Through sustained education and outreach, more individuals will recognize early warning signs, leading to timely diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, the procurement of advanced medical equipment will strengthen our healthcare infrastructure, enabling better diagnostics and treatment for years to come.
