Project Report | Apr 29, 2025
Hurray!! Done with UNEB Registration

By Florence Nakayi | Project Leader.

We are extremely excited about this year and couldn't thank you enough for our dearest sponsors. We are privileged to share with you that this year, we will have two candidates among our sponsored children. It's always a joy seeing our children progress academically and  excel. Education is the biggest key to success, and we believe that with your continued support, we shall provide quality education to change the narratives of failures in our communities. Marjorine is in S.6 and will writting her end of secondary exams UACE this year, and Parvin will be writing her S.4 Exams, which will enable her to join her high school next year. Both of them have been fully registered with the Uganda Examination Board, and we are confident they are going to excel.
However, amidst all our achievements, we still meet lots of children who haven't had an opportunity to get an education or start school. Just like JohnBosco from Katanga, who had never attended school at the age of 8  when he joined Thread of Life Women Empowerment Ministries, we have awaited such cases from the slums and streets of Kampala. JohnBosco is one of the brightest children in his class, and he says he wants to be a doctor when he grows to help as many people as he can in his slum community. His mom is a prostitute, never thought her child would ever set foot in class, but now he is in primary five and alway among the top five in his class.
As an organisation, our commitment to providing quality education as a way of reducing street kids in Kampala and helping mothers concentrate more on nurturing and instilling values into their children keeps us focused on our vision. As we aim to provide a dignified way of life for all, we must focus on keeping children in school to restore hope into their families, communities, and country at large.  As children get their holidays for term one on 2nd May 2025, we are grateful and very appreciative of your generosity, and God bless you always.
