We thank the donors most profusely for supporting the BREAD library program by taking part in the “Little by Little” campaign of GlobalGiving Foundation in April 2022. GlobalGiving Foundation has disbursed the donations received and the matching grant to the Fiscal Sponsor.
BREAD has dispatched 40 additional books to all 704 BREAD library schools of Telangana after ascertaining the contact details of HMs and library teachers. 2,187 Certificates to Voluntary Student Librarians (VSLs) of 431 schools have been sent along with the additional books to the BREAD library schools. This was possible because schools in Telangana reopened after summer vacation in early June.
In Andhra Pradesh, schools reopened only in July 2022. The thirteen districts of Andhra Pradesh have been divided in to 26 districts in April 2022. This has resulted in transfer of teaching faculty now in July resulting in delay to obtain their contact details. Replenishment of additional books to the 956 schools will be completed in August 2022. BREAD has established 28 new libraries during the last three months.
Mr. Srikar, an Intern from NMIMS, Mumbai has prepared Video and Audio recording of BREAD library program during June 2022. These are being circulated to all BREAD libraries through WhatsApp for better understanding of the program by its users. Link to view the Video & Audio files: https://www.breadsocietyindia.org/
