We thank the donors most profusely for supporting the BREAD library program by taking part in the Daan Utsav 100 Heroes campaign of GiveIndia in October 2022. BREAD was able to receive over Rs. 10 lakh as donations during the first week of October 2022. For this support from donors, BREAD will receive an additional matching grant of Rs. 1 lakh over and above the regular matching grant.
BREAD has dispatched 40 additional books to all 956 BREAD library schools of Andhra Pradesh in August and September after ascertaining the contact details of HMs and library teachers. Certificates to Voluntary Student Librarians (VSLs) of 555 schools have been sent along with the additional books to the BREAD library schools.
BREAD has established 100 new libraries, 57 in Telangana and 43 in Andhra Pradesh from April 2022 to date in the current year, adding up to a total number of libraries setup so far to 1,750.
BREAD Society held it AGM 2022 on 10th September 2022. It unanimously elected a new Governing Body. The newly elected office bearers are Mr. Ravikanth Mallina, Vice-President, Mr. Dharmaraju Kakani, Secretary, Dr. V Chandrashekhara Rao, Joint Secretary, Mr. P V Rao, Chief Coordinator and Mr. Tatawar Lingaiah, Member. All other office bearers and Members continue.
