Dear friends,
As supporters of our clean drinking water project, we want to share our annual report on all of the water projects of the Barefoot College Tilonia this past year. These projects include:
• construction of reservoirs, or naadis, to capture rainwater for ground water recharge in Khatoli and Kadampura villages. The rainwater recharges wells used for drinking water as well as irrigation.
• solar-powered reverse osmosis (RO) plants in the Palladi, Singla and Dhanau villages in Rajasthan. The RO process removes salt, fluoride and other effluent materials making the saline water potable.
The operation and maintenance of RO plants and rainwater harvesting systems is supervised by the Neerjaal team of the Barefoot College Tilonia.
Neerjaal is a village-based water monitoring and mapping service to help manage scarce water resources at the community level. Neerjaal includes mapping and testing of more than 1,000 water sources in 200 villages of more than 200,000 people.

We appreciate your continued support for the Barefoot College Tilonia and our village-based programs.
