Dear GlobalGiving Family,
We are excited to share the latest updates from our Partnering with Protected Area Communities project, which continues to make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
Thanks to your incredible support, we successfully secured funding for desks and chairs for our early learning facilities, and they will be implemented within the next week—just in time for the start of the new school year. This will greatly improve the learning environment for young children, ensuring they have a comfortable and structured space to grow and develop.
We also celebrated a truly special Creche Christmas and Graduation for our children moving from creche to Grade R, as well as our Grade 3 learners transitioning to primary school. Held just before the school year ended, this event was a wonderful success, made possible by generous sponsors who helped us provide a memorable celebration for the children and their families.
Over the festive season, we hosted two community soccer tournaments, bringing together local teams for friendly competition, team spirit, and community engagement. These tournaments continue to be a highlight for many, offering a positive outlet for young people while strengthening community ties.
As we step into 2025, we remain committed to supporting our communities. Food insecurity continues to be a challenge, and we are determined to provide food parcels to families living next to reserves to help ensure they do not turn to poaching as a means of survival. Please consider donating towards this initiative to help protect both people and wildlife.
Additionally, our Winter Warmer project is coming up, and for just R100, you can help us buy a blanket for a child facing the cold Zululand winter. Every contribution makes a difference in ensuring that vulnerable families are supported throughout the year.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your generosity continues to change lives, and we look forward to another impactful year together.
With gratitude,
Annie Peatling
