Last April, India suffered the consequences of the second wave of COVID-19, which caused more than 300,000 infections and more than 3,000 people dying every day. A situation that generated terrible scenes, with full hospitals and hundreds of patients dying at their doors, and admitted patients forced to share their beds with other patients, or not receiving medicines or oxygen.
Our goal was to support public and charitable hospitals to purchase the basic items they need to offer the appropriate assistance to COVID-19 patients. Thanks to the donations received by our donors, we have been able to purchase the materials the hospitals had requested, as they needed them in order to properly attend the hundreds of patients arriving at their gates every day during the worst days of the second wave.
Among other items, we have purchased and delivered heparin injections, anticoagulants, bipap masks vented, hemoflow, bloodline tubing lines. These items have allowed hospitals to admit and treat more than 4,000 patients from underprivileged communities!
Thanks to your support, we have helped thousands of people who have been able to access to hospitals and have overcome this very difficult situation. Now they can look into the future with hope.
