10 Women Friendly Public Health Centers in Egypt

With 2023 coming to an end, we want to share with you what we are grateful for and what we are excited about in the upcoming new year.

Your continuous support throughout 2023 made it possible for us to include four new public healthcare centers in marginalized communities, bringing them Women-Friendly Services through the support and training provided to over 50 service providers, including doctors and nurses, with special focus on sexual and reproductive health services.

Also, we were happy to produce a comprehensive training curriculum for service providers in 7 different governorates in Egypt, especially focusing on how to deal with women and girls subjected to violence. This training was a milestone for the Women-Friendly Services project in terms of enforcing partnerships with the government and national and international stakeholders working on reducing the toll of Gender-Based Violence and its effects on women, girls and their families. This training introduces a new interactive approach to encourage service providers to turn their learned knowledge into practical actions and to expand the spread of these messages among their colleagues and patients alike. 

Last but not least, the successful implementation of the project opened the gate for exciting new prospects for an exponentially fruitful implementation in 2024. Covering more service providers in Upper Egypt with the knowledge, skills, and tools to provide equal and better quality services to women and girls all over Egypt.
