At the start of the year, PeaceJam UK launched its first ever Schools Advisory Group, to ensure our support and educational resources continue to meet the needs of children and young people in an appropriate, accessible and inclusive way.
The group is made up of Primary and Secondary School teachers, local education authority members, and other multipliers that use PeaceJam’s curricula. We are working closely with the Schools Advisory Group to provide frontline support as part of the Covid-19 relief efforts.
These discussions have culminated in the development of a new project as part of our ‘mentors into schools’ programme. University students will receive training to support young people devise and deliver social change projects, that tackle the root cause of an issue in their community as part of PeaceJam’s One Billion Acts of Peace campaign.
The launch of PeaceJam UK’s first Schools Advisory Group is a direct result of the support we have received from donors like you! Thank you so much for supporting PeaceJam UK’s project to create more young leaders, it makes a big difference to the work we do with young people; particularly those from deprived areas in the UK. We look forward to sharing more updates about the impact of your support over the next year.
