Young people working towards a more peaceful 2023
The generosity of our GlobalGiving supporters during 2022, has enabled our PeaceJam UK Youth Leadership Team to spend more time working towards the PeaceJam UK Slam on Saturday 11 March 2023 at the University of Winchester. They developed a terrific social media campaign to highlight the Slam and it’s six-week, wraparound programme for schools and youth groups. This included a “teacher award”, giving young people the opportunity to recognise and thank the work of a special teacher.
The Registration site for the Slam is now open:

The Youth Leadership Team members have also been able to spend time with our PeaceJam UK Leadership Team when we had a wonderful training day with them all at the University of Winchester on 12 November. The culmination of the day was the team beginning to plan some other projects, including a fund-raising and awareness raising film evening at the University. Their enthusiasm for peacebuilding is truly inspiring, and we know that other young people will be equally inspired when they all come together in March 2023.
We are so grateful to all our supporters during 2022, and the whole PeaceJam UK Team sends Christmas Greetings and all good wishes for a healthy, happy, and peaceful 2023 - THANK YOU.
