Challenge

Waterborne disease is very common in the slum community, as many as 60% of students have had a WBD. There are few points of running water in the community and the school has had to build wells to serve the needs of the students and staff. Help us reduce water borne disease and insure Kibagare residents and St Martin school children have access to clean water from our borehole built on campus. Electricity to pump the well can be expensive. Help upkeep the borehole and allow us to operate the

Solution

Through this project, we are able to educate two full classes (80 students) per year by eliminating exorbitant electricity costs in the school. Since implementing our first computer lab in 2017, our students' grades in maths and reading have skyrocketed. Our vulnerable children are now qualifying at much higher rates for secondary education opportunities. But some of our computers date back to 1985.

Long-Term Impact

Help us fight climate change while offering more students access more consistently to life's basic necessities
