The project diseminates information and enables access on family planning and family planning devices to the rural poor women. This eases the burden of food, poverty and lack of education occasioned by unplanned families.
Food insecurity has caused increased mortality among rural poor widows living with AIDS. This is due to the inability to achieve the required individual nutritional standards for Anti Retro viral Therapy. This in effect reduces their ability to have improvement in health and to effectively take care of the children in their care. This has caused a high rate of malnutrition in children and very high mortality in children under 5 years of age. lacking food is a key cause of death and poverty.
The project improves knowledge on family planning while supplies safe medical family planning options for rural women. This reduces number of family dependants hence improving socioeconomic and food security levels.
The project will improve 1. Rural socioeconomic status of women . 2. Enhanced food availability and security 3. Child health, outcomes and survival. 4. Chances of education of children. 5. Maternal child health.
