During the second school semester, the work of our students shows the most significant progress. Academic adapted curriculum programs show their effectiveness and teachers give their best in this crucial period for learning. Students progress in math, reading and writing, fine motor skills. And of course they continue with the routines of Conducted Education.
Ekiwah Adler, a former student of the school, writer and cultural manager, offered the students and alumni of the school between 15 and 35 years old a poetry and janzu workshop called Creative Fire. The workshop was held free of charge on the school premises. The topics they worked on were sexuality and disability. It was very exciting to see Ekiwah and his team of collaborators work on the issues of emotional personal development for the stages of life when autonomy and sexuality become crucial in life with disabilities.
We also reorganized the students' outings to strengthen social skills: the celebration of the day of the child held on April 30, when they visited a shopping plaza with games and ate hamburgers together. The walk among the teenage students was also a great experience because they managed their own money and rehearsed their skills to manage their expenses.
In terms of linkage, we participate in the Social Development Council of the Municipality of Jiutepec in the field of Education and we participate in the Kilometer of reading. The school made the donation of books for the schools in Jiutepec. We have publications about Conducted Education and cerebral palsy. Thus, our participation in this event allows us to disseminate more about the subject and ensure that the care of children with CP can have better care.
With the same intention of improving the social conditions in which education and care is granted to people with cerebral palsy, the families delivered to the Governor of Morelos a letter so that the Rehabilitation and Special Education Center of the State of Morelos, included Conducted Education. It is necessary to attend to the more than five thousand children with cerebral palsy in our state of Morelos.
We celebrated mothers, teachers and fathers in a special way during May and June. The moms had a surprise Zumba class and a special breakfast where their children cooked on May 10. The teachers received gifts from their students and a lunch prepared by the boys' mothers. Teachers and students worked to send parents a Luch of love, as it was difficult for them to attend school. Recognizing the work of family accompaniment and the role of our teachers is very important for our School.
Taking into account that we need to strengthen the management of resources for the operation and growth of the School, families participate committedly in it. A family donated a tableware and a set of refractory molds to make a raffle. Teachers and family members participated.
We now share with you a beautiful story of philanthropy: an 8-year-old girl, who lives in the United States and cousin of a student of the school, proposed to her group of Girl Scouts to dedicate a sale of cookies to support her cousin's school. It was a remote donation, filled with the hearts of little girls anonymous but forever present in our thoughts. . It should be noted that this donation traveled to the GlobalGiving platform, being the best medium chosen by donors. In addition to financial resources, we know that we got the beautiful feeling of working together, even united in the distance to hundreds of anonymous donors.
Today we want to thank the will and union of all those who make up the GlobalGiving team, the scout girls, their families and all the people who with a grain of sand, support the Educational Center of Con Nosotros to continue being the space where we see play, grow, have fun, learn to mature with the condition of life that means the neuromotor disability to our students.
Life goes on and we are all fortunately part of it. Thank you for thinking differently, thank you for thinking with us, Con nosotros.
