The Donate for Disability Image Building project aims to challenge stereotypes and foster a positive societal mindset toward persons with disabilities (PWDs). Through awareness campaigns, storytelling, and community engagements, the initiative strives to promote inclusion, dignity, and empowerment for PWDs. This report highlights key achievements and milestones during the reporting period, demonstrating the project's impact on changing mindsets and behaviors.

This report outlines the progress of the "Disability Image Building in Pakistan". The project aims to reshape public perceptions of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Pakistan by promoting positive images, awareness campaigns, and advocacy initiatives. The ultimate goal is to challenge stereotypes, reduce stigma, and promote inclusion by highlighting the achievements and potential of PWDs.
Project Objectives
- To challenge negative stereotypes and promote positive images of persons with disabilities.
- To raise awareness about the rights, capabilities, and contributions of PWDs in Pakistan.
- To engage with media, influencers, and community leaders to amplify positive disability narratives.
- To promote inclusive practices in schools, workplaces, and public spaces.

Progress Towards Objectives4.1. Media Campaigns
- Target: Launch three nationwide media campaigns promoting positive disability images.
- Progress: Two major media campaigns were successfully launched across social media, TV, and radio. These campaigns featured stories of PWDs excelling in fields such as education, sports, and entrepreneurship. The campaigns reached an estimated audience of over 500,000 people.
- Use of Funds: The raised money was allocated for the production of media content and advertisement slots.
Community Outreach Programs
- Target: Conduct 10 community outreach programs in schools, workplaces, and public spaces to promote disability inclusion.
- Progress: Seven community outreach programs were conducted across major cities, including Karachi, Nawabshah, Lahore, and Islamabad. These programs engaged local leaders, employers, educators, and the general public through seminars, workshops, and exhibitions highlighting the abilities and contributions of PWDs.
Media Training
- Target: Provide training to 50 media professionals on how to report inclusively and positively on disability issues.
- Progress: 40 media professionals participated in a two-day workshop in Islamabad, learning best practices for reporting on disability-related issues. The workshop focused on responsible language use, accurate portrayal, and promoting narratives of empowerment and equality.
Promotional Material Development
- Target: Distribute 10,000 flyers, brochures, and posters that promote positive disability images and challenge common stereotypes.
- Progress: 8,000 pieces of promotional material have been distributed so far, primarily through schools, community centers, and workplaces. These materials feature PWD success stories, facts about disability rights, and messages encouraging inclusion and understanding.
- Use of Funds: The raised money was allocated for design, printing, and distribution of these materials.

Media Campaigns:
- Launched multimedia campaigns across television, radio, print, and digital platforms to raise awareness about the capabilities, achievements, and aspirations of persons with disabilities in Pakistan.
- Produced and broadcasted public service announcements, documentaries, and short films featuring inspiring stories of persons with disabilities overcoming challenges and making meaningful contributions to their communities.

- Leveraged social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to amplify key messages, engage audiences, and facilitate dialogue around disability rights and inclusion.
- Encouraged user-generated content, such as personal testimonials, artwork, and advocacy videos, to highlight diverse experiences and perspectives within the disability community and beyond.
