The end of the year is always busy, as we are busy planning for our Graduation at the Nourish RISE creche. Children in South Africa need a school uniform to go to Primary school, so even though government schools are free - without a uniform children cannot attend. And for many parents, especially now with Covid impacting jobs - the prices of the school uniforms is difficult to afford. So once of our focuses for our School uniform project is to support children that graduate preschool to make sure that they can continue their educational journey. So right now we are going up and down doing quotation of uniform in the stores. Each school has a different uniform, so this is lots of logistics, but the parents really appreciate the support, and it helps ensure the chidlren can go to school next year! Our little graduates are also practicing songs and dance moves for the big event ( it is very special for the parents to attend, and be so proud) we even made them traditional attire which they will wear on the graduation day. So we look forward to sharing with you the graduation photos and the little ones with their uniform which they will get soon! We are in planning and shopping phase now.
Thank you all for your support! Your donations help us to enable and keep children in school through uniforms.
