This end of year/beginning year newsletter is always special to us, as we reflect on the sheer joy that is shared by the parents, siblings and children during a graduation. In South Africa, this event - transitioning from creche or preschool into "big school" is without a doubt, a BIG deal. Parents are proud of how far their children have come, how they are able to sing, dance, recite the alphabet, and proudly say what they want to be when they grow up.
Funding for our graduation is always so appreciated as it allows us to print certificates for the little ones, make sure we have enough graduation gowns for them to look smart, hire stretch tents and decorations and a sound system and very importantly make sure we have enough food so there is a feast for everyone.
We will be able to share proper school uniform pics in the next report as schools only start this coming week (after nice long December holidays), so for now, here is a little taste of the graduation, where 22 little ones got new uniforms to equip them for their educational journey ahead!
Thank you as always to everyone who gives to make our work possible. x
