I have never seen that before, only a candle, now I saw the light.

The Nature Village project located in SabanaYegua Viejo, Azua, includes the co-creation of the first sustainable community in the Caribbean region that will operate entirely with solar energy and already is giving people in situations of poverty and vulnerability the opportunity to close their development gaps jointly bringing access to clean energy, water and sanitation, housing improvement, education, technology and sustainable entrepreneurship with the implementation of a fish farm system led by women and young people, a telemetering system with information available in an open data platform and eco-friendly housing construction. This project benefits 50 families.
Guess what!
The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, visited Sabana Yegua Viejo! The people was surprised and very happy, showing what they´ve achieved together and with great international and national donors, like you.
Thank you!
Thank you for making possible to SabanaYegua Viejo´s Families to have good living conditions for the first time. On behalf of our team, THANK YOU for your solidarity and support through the GlobalGiving fundraising platform.
We have already raised funds to start building 39 homes to benefit almost 200 people. Thanks to your generosity SabanaYegua Viejo inhabitants are having access for the first time to clean water and energy, a bathroom and better living conditions. These eco-innovative homes are built with recycled plastic through the partnership with Habitat‘s local affiliate in the Dominican Republic.
Thanks to 72 donors we reached US$6,022 to raise up the house. We are still active in GlobalGiving´s portal receiving funds to complete the total goal for the house that is around US$ 8,500. It contemplates 3 bedrooms for a family.
You have already made a great contribution, now we encourage you to tell your friends and contacts in your network and motivate them to be part of this campaign and that together we could complete this unique project.
