Dear Friends,
As our school year comes to a close at the end of November we are so pleased to share the wonderful progress of all of our students. They excel in the classroom, laugh and play on the playing fields and take care of one another as one big family when they congregate in the dining hall or in the dorms.
Since you last heard from us our Class 7 students have taken their National Exams and are waiting patiently to hear about their results. We are very confident that we will be celebrating their successes by mid-November. In the classroom they thrive in math and science and confidently share their knowledge of Civics and the history of Tanzania, while easily expressing themselves conversationally in English. They are so mature, light hearted and most importantly, tightnit. Class 4 will be taking their National Exams at the end of October and continue to work hard on their studies and ask questions that reflect higher level thinking that challenge their teachers. The younger students are blossoming as well. They are learning their letters and numbers while singing songs that reinforce their knowledge and share dances that put smiles on all of their classmates and teachers faces.
The beauty of Ikirwa is in the camaraderie that is shared throughout the campus. No matter how old you are or if you are a day or boarding student the pride felt in the education and feeling of belonging cultivated at school is felt by everyone. Laughter and friendship is seen in the classrooms and on the walkways between classes or meals, there is just an overall feeling of happiness in the air. Our students continue to flourish with your support and their achievement is reflected in our high standing both nationally and locally. We are only $2,000 away from reaching our yearly goal of Educating 20 vulnerable Tanzanian children. Help us reach our goal and continue to provide a child with an education that would otherwise not be available to them.
We continue to look forward to hosting your visits and sharing our classrooms and learning experiences with you. Our Facebook page and Instagram are updated regularly so you can watch our achievements and adventures in learning.
Stay safe and healthy. Ahsante Sana for your continued support of our wonderful students.
