We're delighted to share a little update on the first of our supported gifted KZN children, Kasia M, who has recently received her first formal report from Little Legends PrePrimary. You can view in the document below.
At her tender age (she's just turned two), Kasia is already navigating three languages—English, Portuguese, and Zulu. Her multi-lingual environment makes it understandable that she might find sitting still and listening to stories a bit challenging. However, our energetic, joyful Kasia is absolutely thriving in activities like Peek-A-Boo and anything that involves being active and having big fun.
On July 24, 2024, Kasia, now affectionately known as KK, celebrated her second birthday with a humble tea-party at her school. She’s no longer the youngest in her class, and it’s wonderful to see her vocabulary expanding - cheerfully exclaiming "Oh No!" when something goes awry or a balloon floats too high. She’s also starting to say "Thank you" ("sank ooh") or "love ooh."
Kasia heads off to school with great excitement each day. On her way, she greets the resident animals and once she arrives at the class-room, takes a moment to warm up to her welcoming peers. Her presence is truly cherished.
Lately, Kasia has developed a passion for colours especially the brightest hues. Felt pens, their caps, and any scribbling tools are her absolute favorites.
We are deeply grateful for the generous support we've received, thank you so much. Two small donations from GlobalGiving and one from Australia have been instrumental in helping cover school fees, securing a pair of shoes (as she currently has just one pair), and providing a warm top for the winter season here in South Africa.
Thank you for your continued support. We hope to share more positive updates soon and look forward to expanding our circle of friends who can help lift KK and hopefullly others one day, out of poverty and into a future filled with potential, strength, and success.
