Kasia's Completes 2024

By Dawn Mary Earl-Blesovsky | Project Leader

As 2024 comes to a close at Little Legends, our Kasia is truly flourishing.  The nurturing environment and kind teachers are quietly growing her unique strengths and budding intelligence.

The highlights in the school day so far

  • Swings: Kasia has delighted in the swings. This has fostered a sense of camaraderie as she took turns with her friends, cheering each other on.
  • Trampolines: Jumping on the trampolines became her favorite pastime. She's quite fearless and unintimidated should an older boy student gatecrash and jump at the same time!
  • Dancing:  Her natural African rhythm and enthusiasm for dance is growing.
  • Art: Art projects spark her creativity and imagination.
  • Love of all animals and creatures, particularly little ghekko's on the walls.
  • The Christmas concert, was great fun in the rehearsals but when faced with the presence of an audience, she felt a bit overwhelmed. During most of the show, she turned her back to the crowd - the two and a half year old KK was peeking around shyly while still trying to participate and develop social awareness.

This year has also been significant for her language development. As she began to grasp her first words, it is heartwarming to see her use them to communicate with friends and teachers. A lot of babbling delight as the blend of Portuguese, Zulu and English flow forth.

The 2nd birthday party in July was held at school where her little friends sat at a table and enjoyed the feast.

Kasia will stay at Little Legends next year and we look forward to her unfolding.
