Education Project for 50 marginalized Liberian

During the period under review, seventy-six students proudly graduated from the Camp for Peace Vocational Training Program in Salayea, Lofa County. These individuals successfully completed a rigorous seven-month intensive training program, gaining practical skills in Agriculture, Tailoring, Weaving, and General Building Construction, with specialized emphasis on Electricity, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Masonry.

The program's graduates are now well-equipped with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond. This achievement underscores the importance of vocational training in empowering individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and fostering development in local communities.

This significant milestone was achieved through the collaborative efforts of Camp for Peace Liberia, its dedicated partners, local authorities, and the students themselves, who displayed remarkable courage and determination throughout the training. The success of this initiative is a testament to the power of partnership and community engagement in addressing critical development needs.

Camp for Peace Liberia’s Executive Director, Abel Learwellie, commended the invaluable support of the organization’s partners, including the Steelworkers Humanity Fund, Pindoff Family Charity Foundation, One Day’s Wages, and the Center for Sacred Studies. Special recognition was also given to individual supporters such as Lois Kunkel and Ann Beckett, whose contributions have been instrumental in the program’s success.

Mr. Learwellie expressed heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their trust and commitment to the vision of Camp for Peace Liberia. He highlighted the trust reposed in the organization by both partners and local authorities as a critical factor in achieving this milestone.
