2021 was as challenging as 2020 but in the face of the continued effects of the pandemic and political unrest in South America, we continued to address the issue of reducing the inequality of access to education in the impoverished area of Barranquitas, Venezuela. The students received daily meals along with their lessons and as we get ready to resume classes in the new year, we are planning to expand the curriculum and reach. In January, the personalized learning center "escuelita" (little school) will be renamed "Taller" or Workshop and provide valuable life skills and work training to young and older (adolescents) students on a one-on-one setting. The teacher will tailor the education to meet the students' specific needs and help them prepare for their future with courage and confidence. Additionally, we will launch a platform to measure the learning and youth development outcomes. Stay tuned!
