Dear Friends,
Your support over the past year has allowed BHI's work in El Salvador to continue to thrive. In fact, the extensive cervical cancer screening and treatment programs in El Salvador serve as a model to other nations beginning their own programs. We are extremely proud of this as our Cervical Cancer Training project is nearing our goal of country-wide screening sustainability for Salvadoran women. The Metropolitan Region is the final screening and treatment site to complete in El Salvador, and we look forward to providing more updates as we close in on our goal.
More than:
+144,000 WOMEN SCREENED FOR CERVICAL CANCER
+14,000 WOMEN TREATED FOR CERVICAL CANCER
+ 4,500 PROVIDERS TRAINED IN CERVICAL CANCER
Due to the pandemic worldwide cervical cancer screening, including in the US, was significantly lower for all women. Please join all of us at BHI in encouraging your friends and loved ones, wherever they reside, to resume their screening!
Thank you for the difference you are making in providing access to life-saving screening and treatment. Cervical cancer is preventable and treatable- together we can make sure that no one dies of this disease.
Be well,
Kate & BHI team
