Super Typhoon Karding (International Name: Noru), was the 11th tropical cyclone for 2022 and the strongest typhoon in the Philippines. The super typhoon Karding caused extensive flooding in several affected areas, destroyed several homes, and claimed lives of 8 people including the five rescuers from Bulacan.
According to the Philippines' National Disaster Risk Reduction Council (NDRRMC) as of September 28, 2022 situational report, there were 7 regions with a total of 39,893 families or 157,023 individuals affected.
The Mustard Seed Mission responds to the immediate needs of people in areas that were affected by Typhoon Noru. With our local partner, we provide family food packs for two weeks to affected families in Aurora Province.
The food assistance will sustain the typhoon-affected families’ physiologic needs and will be of great help as they stretch-out their resources as they move towards recovery from the ill-effects of typhoon Karding.
