2024 has been an incredible year for SEED Madagascar with various achievements in our Food Distribution Programme. It is with much appreciation that we report these achievements to you, because your support has made it possible for us to deliver 9-bi-monthly Social Behaviour Changes Sessions to over 8000 caregivers. These sessions covered topics around, good nutrition, hygiene and essential health.
This December, a total of 564 families in food insecure areas are receiving food supplies. 7034 children received a second dose of deworming and the third round (since January 2024) of Ready-To-Use- Supplementary Food distribution to malnourished children is also underway.
As mentioned in our last report, the Positive Deviance Sessions have been going on and we are happy to report that 33 children (who previously suffered Moderate Acute Malnutrition), have recovered. Following their recovery, focus groups have been established to assess the practices that were adopted and their contribution to the recovery of these children.
Last but not least, SEED Madagascar has continued to work with the Local Health Ministry, and has so far supported three Health Sensitisation Campaigns in the past quarter.
We look forward to a more successful 2025, and there is no doubt that together we will achieve more.
Thank you for your support!
