The tele-counseling services were established as a feasible alternative to in-person counseling services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The risk of the COVID-19 pandemic has decreased, but the uncertainty is still there. Thus, people still seek counseling services and psychosocial support via telephone.
With the increasing need and demand, KOSHISH has been continuously providing psychosocial support through Tele-Counseling services. In this period, KOSHISH provided tele-counseling services to 52 persons. Among them, counseling sessions with 39 beneficiaries have been terminated while 13 beneficiaries are still receiving sessions. All the beneficiaries’ mental health condition is improving. They are adopting measures to overcome their condition. They are in regular follow-up by psychologists.
Through the support from different donors at the GlobalGiving platform, we have been able to provide the service. We are very thankful for the support and further support required for working on the mental and psychosocial well-being of general people.
