Final Report

By cedric yumba | Southeast Asia Representative 2018

For the period of six months, I have been able to represent GolobalGiving in multiple countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia,Singapore and Laos. I visited around 40 + and run 8 workshops plus one coffee shop in Singapore.

Thailand

This was the first country I visited in Asia. I organised two workshops, one in Bangkok and another in Chiang Mai. I was priviledged to work with Luanna from the UK office. I visited 10 + organisations in different cities, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Krabi, Mai Sai, Pattaya, etc..

Vietnam

This was the second country I visited. I ran two workshops, the firat one in Ho Chi Minh and the second one in Hanoi the capital. I visited around 10 partners in multiple cities including ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Cam Ram, Dong Ha. I hasd serious logistic problems in Vietnam because of I was given only one month visa instead of two. I had to squizz my work.

Cambodia

I spent two moths in Cambodia. I had two workshops, the first one in Phnom Penh the capital and the second one in Siem Reap. Both workshops were very successful with high rate of attendees. I visited around 10 partners acrross many cities including Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Kampot. I had to change plan again, because I was given one month visa which would be renewed only if I left the country.

Singapore

I spent about 6 working days in Singapore. I had one coffee shop and visited 2 partners. This was a last minute planned trip, to escape visa issue in Cambodia.

Laos

I spent one month in Laos. Actually, I was supposed to go to Malaysia but unfortunately the visa was not granted. I ran two workshops, one in Luang Prabang and another in Vientiane. I brought GG workshops in Laos for the first time in history, both workshops were successful with high participation. I visited 4 partners

Thank you so much to everyone who supported financially and mlorally in this amazing journey.

Merci beaucoup!
