Rehab COnference with Parents

From July 2021 the positive cases of COVID has decreased and also the case load of positivity decreased. So from 2nd week of August we work in three ways. 1. Visit individual child’s home to work with the child and mother directly. 2. Online therapy and special education programme for the children having facilities of smart phones and proper network. 3. Schedule Phone calls to the mothers/caregiver for rehabilitation programme and counseling. From month of September the lockdown is diminished and we open our Centre to avail the facility physically. We started the centre based programme maintaining all the COVID protocols and guidelines.

The number of children attendance in the centre slowly increase, we made the attendance roster to visit the centre so that the gathering should be avoid and we keep regular communication to the parents by phone calls.

We organized a parents training programme on 6th October 21 where 27 parents were participated to discussed the various issues regarding their child development and work in the pandemic period. Mrs. Pyne from ReJenga Board were participated virtually the programme to address the parents and motivated them and discussed the responsibilities of parents to continue the rehabilitation services in this Pandemic Period. The programme manager discussed the details of individual child need and development scope. We focus discussion on enrolment of the children in various government schemes.
