Dear Friends,
It’s been a little while since we last connected — but something extraordinary is rising, and you’ve helped make it possible.
You stood with us when Mirame first took root — a powerful movement that gave voice and vision to Ecuadorian women declaring, “Watch me live. Watch me strive. Watch me succeed.” That spirit hasn’t faded. In fact, it’s grown into something even more beautiful.
Meet D’ellas CREADORAS — a new chapter born from the same heart.
Six incredible grandmothers, aged 40–76, are now part of a grassroots bakery project. They’ve received formal training, rediscovered pride, and begun earning income — many for the first time in their lives doing something they love. Most are illiterate. Some live with disabilities. All are the economic pillars of their multigenerational families, raising children and grandchildren on less than 30 cents a day.
Today, they’re rewriting their stories.
“For the first time, I’m earning money doing something I enjoy,” says Cecilia, 68. “My grandchildren call me la panadera.”
Their bread sells out weekly. Neighbors line up. Demand is growing — and with only a small oven, the team has reached full capacity. More than 200 women are now waiting for their own chance to rise.
This is about more than bread. It’s aboutdignity, connection, and transformation. It’s about grandmothers stepping into leadership as entrepreneurs and providers in powerful, new ways.
D’ellas CREADORAS, like Mirame, is about unlocking potential — through opportunity, education, community, and deep belief in the worth of every woman.
Thanks to your past support, this vision is not only alive — it’s growing.
In the next 12 months, we aim to train at least 30 more grandmothers, opening the door to real income and renewed hope.
You’ve been part of this journey from the start — and we’d love for you to walk beside us as it continues.
Stay Involved. Keep Rising with Us:
Thank you — not just for what you’ve given in the past, but for believing in what’s still possible. Because of you, something beautiful is happening.
With deep gratitude,
María José Orellana

P.S. We’d love to hear from you. Just reply and say hello — it’s been a while, and we’ve missed you. There’s so much more to come, and we’d love for you to walk beside us as this beautiful story continues to rise, one life-changing roll at a time.
